Collin’s practice focuses on customs and import compliance and international trade.
Prior to joining ArentFox Schiff, Collin was an attorney-advisor with the Regulations and Rulings directorate in the Office of Trade at US Customs and Border Protection. He drafted rulings and decisions on tariff classification and customs penalties and handled Freedom of Information Act appeals involving customs and immigration records. During his time there, he advised the National Commodity Specialist Division, the Office of Chief Counsel, and CBP’s Centers of Excellence on classification issues.
Collin also brings broad public-sector experience across federal, international, and judicial settings. He previously served as a legal extern to Judge Richard W. Story of the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. During law school, he worked in the Office of the Legal Advisor at NATO’s Supreme Allied Command, Transformation and in USAID’s Office of the General Counsel.

Outside of work, Collin enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, reading, watching college football, and lifting weights. He is conversant in German.
