Doug’s practice encompasses the full spectrum of real estate transactional law, including the development, acquisition, financing, leasing, operation, and disposition of all types of commercial, residential, industrial, agricultural and mixed-use properties. He regularly represents private equity funds, corporate owners and users, banks and other institutional investors, and small businesses and private individuals on all sides of real estate transactions. He has significant experience representing teams, landowners, and operators in stadium, arena and other entertainment venue leases.

Doug uses his experience working in-house to look beyond the immediate transaction and to ensure that his clients’ medium and long term needs are addressed. He understands that closing the transaction is often only the first step in a lease, acquisition, joint venture or financing and provides counsel and guidance that goes beyond that mere first step.

In addition to his traditional real estate practice, Doug has worked extensively on the development and financing of renewable energy and other infrastructure projects.  Doug has helped his clients develop, sell, acquire and finance projects producing thousands of megawatts of power generation.
