Jay Thomas is a dedicated legal professional whose comprehensive skills and experience make him a valuable asset to the Product Liability & Mass Torts group at ArentFox Schiff. With a robust background in complex civil litigation, Jay specializes in handling cases that involve intricate product liability issues, including those related to consumer safety, manufacturing defects, and regulatory compliance.

Jay’s extensive experience includes drafting critical pre-trial motions tailored to product liability cases, such as complaints, answers, interrogatories, and requests for production. His proficiency in preparing for and conducting depositions is particularly focused on uncovering key evidence related to product defects and liability claims.

In his previous experience, Jay has adeptly responded to subpoenas from regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance and strategic defense in investigations. He has led internal investigations into allegations of product-related misconduct, fraud, and compliance breaches, including those under the Consumer Product Safety Act and other relevant regulations.

Jay’s ability to research statutory developments and analyze legislative changes is crucial for advising clients on the potential impacts of evolving laws, helping them navigate the complexities of compliance and risk management.
