Nicole represents businesses and individuals in a wide variety of complex litigation matters in state and federal court, including commercial litigation, False Claims Act/qui tam litigation, trade secrets and employee mobility matters, and health care actions. She has guided clients through many stages of disputes, including initial litigation analysis, drafting pleadings, filing motions and briefs, discovery, settlement negotiations, and preparing for trial.

Before joining ArentFox Schiff, Nicole was a law clerk for Judge Andrew D. Hallman of the United States District Court for the District of Oregon. Before that, Nicole was a law clerk for Justice Lynn R. Nakamoto of the Oregon Supreme Court.

During law school, Nicole served as Editor in Chief of the Oregon Law Review. Nicole also worked as a tutor for the University of Oregon School of Law’s Legal Research and Writing Program and was a fellow for the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics.

Client Work

Nicole’s recent representative matters include:

  • Securing dismissal with prejudice in a qui tam tax fraud case under the DC False Claims Act. District of Columbia, ex rel. Christopher Deubert v. Jason Levien, Case No. 2021 CA 3200 B (Edelman, J.) (D.C. Sup. Ct. 2023).
  • Representing a pharmaceutical manufacturer in response to a subpoena issued by the Department of Justice.
  • Representing a marketing platform in a commercial contract dispute involving disclosure of confidential trade secret information, opposing a motion to dismiss and leading to a favorable settlement.
