Government Relations Co-Chair Phil English will present at Florida Tax Institute’s 2025 conference in Tampa, Florida, on February 7, 2025.
Phil will deliver a presentation titled “Prospects for Tax Legislation in the New Congress,” in which he will draw on his experience as a former lead House Republican on the tax policy Subcommittee to evaluate the effects of a polarized Congress and its ability to impede tax increases and fulfill commitments amid record federal deficits. He will also assess key areas of concern, including expiring provisions, cost recovery, international tax competition, and rising populist tax demands as the federal tax code approaches a major overhaul.
