Food, Drug, Medical Device & Cosmetic Partner Emily Cowley Leongini will give a presentation titled “Inspections: What to Do if the Government Shows Up at Your Door” at the American Conference Institute’s Food Law and Regulation Boot Camp on July 23.

Emily will provide a comprehensive overview of inspection mandates under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and describe which agencies and departments at the state and federal levels have jurisdictional authority to conduct inspections. Emily will offer actionable strategies for preparing for and handling both routine and surprise inspections, as well as best practices for evaluating and responding to FDA 483s.

ACI’s Food Law and Regulation Boot Camp is designed for in-house counsel and executives in the food industry. The program covers critical topics such as food safety, labeling compliance, and regulatory enforcement within the context of changes in leadership at FDA and USDA.
