The firm’s Automotive group sponsored and presented at the National Association of Dealer Counsel (NADC) 2025 Fall Conference, held in Chicago from October 19–21, 2025. The NADC Fall Conference convenes leading professionals from across the automotive industry for a comprehensive educational program focused on the latest trends, emerging challenges, and key legal considerations shaping the automotive dealership landscape. Attendees benefit from engaging, practitioner-led sessions and robust opportunities to exchange insights on a wide range of dealer-related issues.
On Monday, October 20, our attorneys participated in Session 2: “Blurred Lines: Navigating Conflicts and Ethical Minefields when Representing Dealerships.” The panel featured Maggie Bowman of CarMax, Sara Judge, and Jason Foster, and explored real-world conflict scenarios, evolving ethical obligations, and practical strategies for mitigating risk while maintaining client relationships and compliance.
On Tuesday, October 21, Andrea Gumushian contributed to Session 7: “Data Sharing Practices: Practical Guidance for Dealers.” Panelists included Bruce Anderson of Iowa Automobile Dealers Association and Brian Bennett of NADA. The discussion addressed the operational and legal contours of data sharing, including vendor management, privacy and security considerations, and practical frameworks for developing compliant, business-forward data practices.
ArentFox Schiff was proud to be represented by a number of Automotive attorneys. We appreciate the opportunity to support and engage with NADC members and industry leaders who are shaping the future of automotive retail. Our team looks forward to continuing to collaborate with dealers, counsel, and partners across the sector to address evolving legal and business challenges.
