Senior Government Relations Director Oliver Spurgeon will give a presentation titled “Reconciliation: What It Means for Sector Policy Priorities” Foundations on the Hill 2025, hosted and presented by United Philanthropy Forum and the Council on Foundations in partnership with Independent Sector, in Washington, DC, on February 23, 2025.
Oliver and co-presenters Jessica Cameron, Senior Advisor at EY, Sally Schaeffer, Founder and Principal at Uncorked Advocates, and Chandra Betourney, Principal at S-3, will provide an in-depth examination of the budget reconciliation process, with a particular focus on tax policy impacting the philanthropic sector. The session will explore the complex reconciliation process’s significant role in shaping the legislative landscape for charitable giving and sector priorities, including how reconciliation could impact key sector priorities in the 119th Congress, and provide strategic insights for foundation leaders and advocates seeking to advance sector priorities within the legislative framework.
Foundations on the Hill is a premier public policy and advocacy conference that aims to help the philanthropic sector strengthen its collective voice on Capitol Hill.
