Andrew counsels international and domestic companies in a variety of sectors, including financial, technology, energy, food and beverage, manufacturing, and transportation industries, on complex commercial litigation and employment law matters. He focuses his practice on general commercial litigation, breach of contract, cross-border litigation and arbitration, product liability, business tort, trade secrets, unfair trade practice, and employment discrimination matters. A significant part of Andrew’s practice entails advising overseas clients in Asia on business strategy issues and litigation risk analysis.

Cross-Border Litigation

  • Represented an international retail company in litigation in Asia, Europe, and the United States to protect its business, brand, and trade secrets in numerous disputes.
  • Represented a leading multinational corporation in securing a significant victory in an ICC arbitration involving a multi-billion-dollar construction project in Saudi Arabia subject to Sharia Law.
  • Represented a leading Asia-based chemical manufacturer in numerous successful multijurisdictional litigation actions awarding damages on breaches of certain long-term supply agreements. 

General Business Litigation 

  • Represented numerous Asia-based OEM suppliers in the technology, automotive, and manufacturing industries in breach of contract disputes in numerous US jurisdictions. 
  • Defended an international package delivery company against various breach of contract, fraud, and other business tort claims in trials in numerous jurisdictions across the country.
  • Represented a leading American software company in consumer class action litigation involving the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
  • Successfully defended a leading logistics company in federal and state qui tam actions across the country, alleging consumers were overcharged on the price of fuel. 

Business Strategy 

  • Advised numerous overseas clients with US subsidiaries regarding compliance with US employment laws, implementation of labor and employment policies, and the defense of discrimination and wage-and-hour claims.
  • Advised overseas family office clients on managing their litigation risk from their commercial and residential property portfolios.
